» What's Your Beer Personality? Mine is Guinness of course!
You Are Guinness

You know beer well, and you'll only drink the best beers in the world.
Watered down beers disgust you, as do the people who drink them.
When you drink, you tend to become a bit of a know it all - especially about subjects you don't know well.
But your friends tolerate your drunken ways, because you introduce them to the best beers around.
What's Your Beer Personality?

The fact is that, while I do not get and drink much or often, Guinness is indeed among my favorites brews; my *most*  favorite of which is extra stout.

It just just happens however that when I did some food shopping on Saturday (March 11th) I saw a sale for a 12-pack of 11.2 ounce bottled Guinness Stout Draught and bought a case. Gave one away and, may give one or two more away, especially with St. Patrick's day right around the corner. Have managed to consume 5 bottles on my own so far and am in no rush to kill off the rest; tending to only drink a bottle here or there with either supper or a good snack, if and when I feel so inclined.

Speaking of which, it is time for some late night dinner as well as some snacking after, along with which I will drink one or two of the brews; quietly celebrating my finally writing and blogging up my review of the Hallmark Channel original movie Our House, here.

» still alive & well ...
When I have been up to it anyway, most of my blogging has been taking place on Norsehorse's Home Turf, Montpelier Matters as well as a little here and there on the Beyond VSH blog. Of course back in late January (2006) as well as part of the month of February I was keeping busy blogging on the Annual Homelessness Marathon blog too. Had not really given up or forgotten this LJ of mine, have just not been in the mood or have not had enough energy or time to do any blogging to it. Not that there is much to blog about, because there truly is not, nothing worth mentioning anyway; other than the fact that October 22nd (2005) I have been Wintering in the same place as I did last Winter.

In addition, last autumn someone gave me an old Tobisha laptop computer with wireless capability and I am able to connect online at the place I am staying at until Springtime, which is a big help and something I am very grateful for. It makes a huge difference for me.
» the rundown

Have been meaning to post here, but between not feeling so good at times, being tired often and also busy here and there, I have not always had the energy, time or inclination.

» getting too old for this ...

About a week and a half ago I left the place I was able to arrange to stay at since I had arrived back from my Rhode Island trip and was on the streets of Montpelier for what turned out to be one sleepless night and I was pretty much done in already.

» still catching up ...

Have been meaning to post an update to my last post (here) concerning my current living situation, however between not being online all that much and not feeling all that well at times, it has taken me a while to finally do so.

Anyway, the day after I blogged that particular post I was able to make arrangements to continue staying where I have been at since I came back from my visit in Rhode Island until this coming weekend and I have no a clue where I will be staying after that.

» catching up

Since I have been back in Vermont (here), I have been mostly taking it easy and have not been going into town or getting online much, except for a few times this week -- going online a bit more yesterday (Friday) and today. Have had a lot to get caught up with and I am still not quite there yet, not that I ever am really either for that matter.

Nothing more to really blog about right now, with the exception being that come Monday morning (August 1, 2005) I have absolutely nowhere to stay once I leave where I have stayed since I got back to Vermont nearly a week and a half ago (Thursday, July 21, 2005).

» back in Vermont

Am back in Vermont, having returned in the early evening from my visit in Rhode Island, but -- other than this small note -- am too busy and will my online access will be limited this weekend to be able to blog anything meaningful until sometime next week.

Check out the photo's from a recent day at the beach this week, which I quickly posted on Norsehorse's Home Turf yesterday (Thursday, July 21, 2005) prior to finally packing up my stuff for my return trip home: Summer Rhode Island Visit 2005: Day @ the Beach (Wednesday, July 20th).

» What Flavor Ice Cream Are You?

According to this particular quiz (here), I am Strawberry Ice Cream:

You Are Strawberry Ice Cream
A bit shy and sensitive, you are sweet to the core. You often find yourself on the outside looking in. Insightful and pensive, you really understand how the world works. You are most compatible with chocolate chip ice cream.

Speaking of ice cream, it is time for me to take a break, scoop a bowl full and enjoy some this evening. In fact last night I had a big bowl of (Breyers) strawberry ice cream, so tonight it is time for another favorite of mine: mint chocolate chip (also Breyers).
» Me too!

Came across this via Rael (here) and, having just taken this quiz for myself, these are my results:

Your Blogging Type is Pensive and Philosophical
You blog like no one else is reading... You tend to use your blog to explore ideas - often in long winded prose. Easy going and flexible, you tend to befriend other bloggers easily. But if they disagree with once too much, you'll pull them from your blogroll!

» small change of plans & chess update

Just wanted to provide an update on a small change of plans concerning where I will be staying during my extended stay here in Rhode Island as it looks like I will not be tenting out after all.

My plan is to leave RI for Vermont on Monday, July 25th (when I will be taking the earliest bus home and should be in Montpelier in the early afternoon or so).

It also turns out that I will have a bit more online access down here during my third week than I thought would be possible and, as a result, I should be able to keep blogging up some stuff on my blogs between now and the day I leave here; hopefully including an item on my nephew's pet crayfish, etc. (possibly complete with photo's).

That said, due to having to make various calls to folks back in Vermont because something came up that I had to address, I used most of my calling card for those and as a result no longer have enough minutes on it to use in posting audioblog posts.

» My Nephew, the All Star!

Having been extremely tired by late afternoon yesterday (Tuesday, July 12th), I reluctantly opted out of attending my sister's youngest son's ballgame last night. While I really wanted to go watch the game, all the same I knew that I was not up to going. In fact when I was online during the time everyone else was at the game, I found myself nodding off at the computer, I was so tired.

Once everyone got back home it was reported that each team had played their hearts out and it was a hard-fought game, which the other team ended up winning -- much to the disappointment of my (youngest) nephew and his teammates. These boys are definitely something to watch on the field and have nothing to be ashamed of either. Each of these young ball players made their team, families and town proud. They certainly *are* All Stars! -- one and all.

» 1st Audioblog Post from RI

Check Norsehorse's Home Turf blog ...

Have just posted my first audioblog post from Rhode Island, here [via Norsehorse's Home Turf].

As mentioned previously, once I begin camping out (not yet sure when that may begin however, maybe Sunday or early next week or so) my online access will be very limited or even nonexistent. As such, I will be mainly posting audioblog posts, so make sure to check Norsehorse's Home Turf once and a while both then and before too [as I have been posting various posts there as well and will not always be linking to them from here].

» summer fun

Just wanted to take a spare moment to say Hello from Rhode Island.

Am doing fine and am enjoying my visit here in RI very much, especially the cooler temperatures, ocean breezes and refreshing salt air.

» Photographic Evidence: Uncle Morgan Gets Dunked

[edited cross-post from Norsehorse's Home Turf, here]

This blogger is having an excellent time down here in Rhode Island visiting my sister and her family.

It came to mind that some of the readers of this particular blog might appreciate the below photo's, especially since they provide photographic evidence concerning the subject of my blog post posted on this LiveJournal of mine on Saturday (July 9, 2005), here.

Enjoy!

Happy summer!

:-) [smile]

(see below @ *Update*)

Today was the second All Star game for the local town team (consisting of the best players for their particular age group, selected from the various Little League teams from their town), which one of my nephews is on. They won this one and, as a result, are still in the hunt. It was a good game and they did really well.

» In RI

Just a brief post to let people know that I arrived safely and on schedule to my destination in Rhode Island on Tuesday (July 5, 2005). The trip down went well and I have been enjoying the visit with my sister and her family.

» P.S. re: until further notice ...

[was able to grab a little more online access this afternoon, at least for a couple of hours anyway]

Had meant to also add that I managed to buy an affordable calling card with which to use for what calls I may need to make as well as primarily using it for posting some audioblog posts when I do not have as much online access (especially if and when I manage to find a campground to pitch my tent during any extended stay and there is either little or no online access available) while I am in Rhode Island and until I return to the Montpelier area.

Such audioblog posts will be posted at: Norsehorse's Home Turf.

In fact I might even post an audioblog post either tomorrow (Sunday) or on Monday (July 4th).

If you have not already done so, read my previous LiveJournal blog post: until further notice ...

» until further notice ...

If and whenever it is possible for me to do so, I will try to blog as well as check my e-mail from Rhode Island (RI); but make no promises to do so either as it depends upon what type and how much online access I may have available to me and, more importantly, I am not going to RI to go online for that matter anyway.

Elvis, er, Morgan has left the building.

» Whew!
I'm really busy, busy, busy ...

Am doing okay though. Got lots of stuff done today and still plenty of more to do before my trip to RI on Tuesday, July 5th.

So far so good however and I am truly looking forward to my visit with my sister and her family.

As stated previously, once my stay with my sister and her family is over, I am hoping to stay down at a campground: i.e., if a campground tent site is available and, I end up staying for a little while longer down there anyway.

This is all I have energy, time and online access to blog about right now.
